New York or LA – which is a better dating scene for girls?
I am thinking about moving to NY or LA but am wondering about the comparative dating scenes…I’m a woman, late 20s, above average but not amazing looking (prob. a 6.5 most of the time?), with a good job. Would I have better luck dating in NY or LA? I’m fairly open to different men but would want someone in my age range, obviously straight, and has a decent job. I hear LA has more straight men than NY but that they’re all looking for wannabe actress/model types there.

I think you can find a good guy anywhere you look; I wouldn’t move anywhere just because of a guy though. Look at the other opportunities that NY and LA have to offer. Think about your job first, and the guy will come second.

NY baby. LA is expensive to date. NY allows some cheaper options.
NY also less shallow. but watch for players because both cities have alot of them … and STDs LOL just being honest.

There are many good things about both cities and they are both expensive to live in. Please don’t move to a place because of a man. Work on yourself, like education, employment and residency. Both places require those things to make it. You must have confidence because both places require you to think like a 10 even if you’re not. You will need goals, deadlines for those goals and ambition to succeed in both places. LA has the sun and great things to do to meet men, but a car is most definitely needed. NY has great night spots to meet men and decent transportation, no car needed. You really need a life plan. Go out and get it for yourself, the man will come and if he doesn’t right away at least you’ll have other things to occupy your mind. Good luck
