Here is my experience:
Since he is a mid 30s, and you are early 20s, he has live through many different experience, so the way you think and live will be totally different.
Because of this, you may find you have difficulty in starting conversation with him, or you may find sometimes, you have totally different opinions towards the same stuff.
But that depends on you. If you are so open-minded and willing to accept his opinions to broad your horizon, you will find more fun in dating with him.

relationship you are looking for totally depends upon your mutual thinking, as far as age difference is concern its a big thing. But yes there could be a thinking difference if this gap increases, but still will depend on you ppls. I shouldn’t think it would matter. The older we get, the less age plays a part in relationship. I have a great friend in her late 20’s involved with a man in his late 50’s – when people are supposed to be together, they just ARE, and the rest works out.

With any relationship maturity plays a big role. You can find much older men and women who act as tho they are still in there teens.And the other way around. Being truthful,fair,no bull,much of what you have done in the past will show so if you keep it REAL he should too. If not…….NEXT. Almost forgot SEX does play a big part, how much in this relationship is up to you and him

Im not sure going into this looking for problems is the best way to go about it. How about you just date him and find out what the problems are that actually come up rather than trying to fight against something that may not even come about?
