Why does my daughter have green eyes?
My wife has brown eyes as does much of her family and I have blue eyes as does much of my family and our son but my daughter has very bright green eyes and yet I have not be able to find any family member on either side to have green eyes dating back to 1890, but thats only because that is as fare back as our records go. can anyone explain please.
Theres 2 genes that play a role together. This means the mechanism behind eye color and even hair color is more complex then most other genetic traits. Blue eyes are quad recessive, while brown have at least a bey2 dominant gene (its the only requirement for brown eyes, gey does not cause as much melanine to be produced when a bey2 dominant gene is present)

Short story short, green eyes can appear even if you don’t have any relatives with green eyes.
Imagine you have for bey2 one allele that can produce lots of melanine (We shall call it B) while the other allele does not produce alot (called b). For gey, one allele produces some melanin (called G) and the other allele produces a little bit of melanine (called g)
Brown eyes (BB gg, BB Gg, BB GG, Bb gg, Bb Gg, Bb GG)
Green (bb GG, bb Gg)
Blue (bb gg)
So your husband had quad recessive and you have 1 allele b recessive
How long has to apply for Green Card after the available priority date ?
Can someone advise me the following question.
When a priority date is available now for a person ( Citizen’s brother or sister that petition I-130 on Apr /2001 ) and he can apply the Green Card in United State because under the 245i condition.
What will be the deadline that he has to apply the Green Card ? Can he apply 6 months or a year later ?

I suggest, you consult a lawyer. This forum is not moderated by lawyers.
If you are protected by 245i, you might be able to adjust even if living in USA illegally at this time. However, I’d make sure you are eligible and not inadmissible.
Usually, one has to file within a year.
