I am German, but I grew up with English as a 1st language and German as 2nd. So, I can speak English obviously. My boyfriend goes to the same school as me, he is from Hong Kong and his English isn’t very good, and he is very shy most of the time and not upfront like most European men.
Is there anything I should be aware of? Anything I shouldn’t say that might offend him or his culture? I have been to Hong Kong, but I don’t know the culture all that well.

i shouldnt worry about saying anything to offend him, he is a foreigner, he wont know sh*t, he wont know something said to him is offensive. most foreigners are clueless and oblivious to these things.

I read it on a Website. One Asian guy was saying that European girls age 20 would already look like 30 or 40 for them. And also that they would turn fat when they are 20?
Do many Asian men have these views ?

I am european girl. just met indian guy and he seems to be smart and funny, i just enjoyed time spending together. after certain time he very honestly told me that he is falling in love with me and it just felt right. however i heard many strange things about indian culture, like arranged marriages, strict parents etc. when i was at his home and his parents called through skype from India, he looked freaked out that they will see me. later i asked if his parents do not let him date, and he said that he is just a little bit shy at the begginign as he never dated before.

he acts like he really likes me, takes care of me and plans our time together. but when i asked how he looks at me as a friend or a girlfriend he was unhappy about question and started talking WHY he likes me, not how.

I ve never dated a person from a different culture, and as long as it seems very exciting for now, I am so afraid that i might be just a play toy for him.

Maybe you have any ideas about indian culture and also maybe you can suggest what kind of questions i could ask him casually to find out more about his understanding about dating.

I think if you really love him then it’s totally worth it !
My boyfriend is American/Korean and I love him to bits !
It depends on the personality not the RACE or CULTURE .
